I have just removed all 5 of the bolts in the engine compartment that holds the heater core cover on. I have removed my glove box for easier access. I can feel the play in the vent cover, but i cannot get it out. Is there other bolts or clips i am missing. I do not want to force anything here. Any help appreciated. Is the heater core itself connected to the housing? do the hoses from the engine compartment need to come off first? Thanks.

You have to take the both hoses off, disconnect all 3 control cables, unplug blower resistor. one of my studs was a little bent so it hung up in the firewall hole, but i just pulled and it came off. just be careful and you should be fine

mine was a very tight fit, the tubes for the coolant are bent so you sort of have to pull it straight off until the studs clear and then towards the driver side of the car
and have to taken off the plastic foot vent piece? and everything poopy said?
and incase you didnt know the heater core is attatched to the box, it comes off inside the cover

If anyone has a pic of this once the heater core cover is pullled, i would appreciate it. This is one of the things i am trying to get to anyway. The hidden vin and just some general cleanup issues.

the plastic "vent speader" that attaches above the console has to come off. I think there might be a screw near the drivers toe.
The heater core will come with it, so the hose barbs have to be clear. I had the firewall side off when I did mine, and it pulled right thru.
