$288 is a nice price. I have not replaced a radiator before. Do I need to flush the system after removing the old radiator? I once heard there is an additive you should use in an aluminum radiator but I can't find anything like that. Is this true? Any other tips?
Thanks.

I would take the opportunity to flush if you have an old system. The latest antifreeze products are all designed for aluminium. Should be no problem. Let us know how the radiator fits and all.

Okay, now this may sound crazy, but you can use a small jug of Prestone flush or "Lime Away" in the system and then flush with clean fresh water.

I have used the lime away trick before for seriously clogged radiators when trying to "cheap out"..

If your installing a new radiator, I would just use the Prestone flush. Follow the instructions on the jug.

Good Luck

I suppose it would make sence to do the flush with the old radiator still on?
