I have a 67 camaro with a 396. The motor has a short water pump and the alternator is mounted on the drivers side. I'm going for the "stock look" so I have two 3/8 lines coming off of a double pump carb into a brass "Y" block. My problem is finding the section of line that goes from the brass "Y" block down to the fuel pump. I've tried several of the major after market suppliers and keep getting lines that dont even come close to fitting. Does anyone out there on planet Camaro have any experience with stock hard plumbing for 67 big block Camaro? Thanks is advance

You must not be telling the parts guys the right info. You need to order one for a 396-375 (L78). They want to sell the 68 line that has the hump for the air pump so tell them it a 67 only..

Your right, the first time I ordered one I got the later model line. Since then I have been explaining that I need the early model only and have received different lines but still nothing that comes close to fitting. I'm beginning to wonder if I have the right fuel pump configuration.

I had a hard time with my L72 line. It was ordered for the L72/L78, but wasn't close. I ended up taking pics of some at the Yenko Reunion, and tweaking the bends to be able to route it the right way. The main problem was the angle fo the line running back to the Yblock. Rather than parallel the valve cover, it angled out over it, making it nearly impossible to remove the valve cover. After removing the line and re-bending it a little, it no longer interfered with the valve cover, and plumbed up easily.

Thanks for the reply. The line that came closest to fitting had that wild angle over the valve cover. I to would like to see it run parallel to the valve cover. I'm just about ready to buy a flaring tool and dive into the world of hard plumbing but I here it takes a bit of playing around especially if your using stainless. Thanks again! P.S. Yenko Reunion??? that sounds cool!
