This is some advice that was referred to me from the mods
You might also do a search here for "PDQBBC" that stands for Big Brakes Cheap by PDQ67.
Other than a few high end choices, most of the "brake kits" sold by many of the aftermarket suppliers are simply collections of factory parts from other GM cars, perhaps with a fabbed bracket or two. Team Camaro members have done this research, and it is here for the finding. A junkyard and parts store can get you everything you need once you know what to ask for.

I did a search for your posting "PDQBBC" and failed to come up with anything. If you know where it is, do you think you could bring it up for me?

If so, thanks :cool:

Try typing into advanced search above, pdqCBB, and I bet it will pull up at least 25 posts.

I just did it..

Anyway, my front "pdqCBB" set-up consists of;

1988, 13" 'Vette front rotors;

My homemade caliper bracket that fits either a stock, '69 big single piston caliper or the 1/4" wider jawed Van caliper;

Either spindles depending on shimming;

Either a '69 cast rotor/hub less rotor or a two-piece hub less rotor;

The only problem is that you will need to run at least a 17" wheel to fit this!

I pass out rough copies of my front homemade caliper bracket for free if you want one? Just PM me your complete name and address and I will try to get a copy of it to you in the mail ASAP..................

PS., my pdqCBB rear set-up uses;

1989, 11.75" Camaro rear rotors;

Either modified 1980 Cad. Seville caliper brackets or homemade ones;

1980 Cad. Seville rear e-brake calipers.

And wheels that fit.........

And all this is on my car now!

He, He!!

My 17" wheels are "PONY-CAR", Bullitts.......................
