Hello All! Any Suggestions On Picking The Right Exhaust System? Here's My Combo: 1968 Cam, 434 Sbc, Pump Gas, 11.25-1 Cr, Pro Topline 235 Alum Heads, Solid Roller (256/268 @ .050-.578/.586 Lift), 1.5 Jesel's, 1-7/8" Hookers, Super Victor, 750 Demon, Msd Dist. W/ 6al, Th350 W/3800 Conv., 4.10 Gears, 275/50/15 Mt Drag Radials, All Steel & All Interior. I Don't Know The Hp #'s, But I Estimate Them @ 550+. I Would Like It As Quiet As Possible W/o Hurting Performance. I Was Thinking About The Flowmaster 3" Kit That Runs All The Way Out The Back. My Local Exhaust Shops Are Kinda Lame & Don't Do Great Work. I Would Prefer To Buy A Kit For A Clean Install. Anyone Running This Kit? Do You Like It? Thanks For The Help In Advance!!

I think your definitely into 3" territory at your power level. Check out Pypes systems - very nice and priced right.

For what its worth, I just installed a set of Hedman Headers and the Flowmaster American Thunder 2.3" exhaust system on my son's '67 RS coupe. The installation of both headers and exhaust system was excellent. Everything fit great and there were no surprises. I had to get the collector flange welded on it pipe, otherwise it was a home garage installation. The Flowmaster system purchased through Classic Industries in Huntington Beach had the original exhaust outlet behind the rear wheel wells and looks great. My son is delighted with the sound. (2 Delta 40's.) A bit loud for my taste, though.

I didnt think blowmaster and quiet should be used in the same sentence;)
Do a 3" system with dynomax 3" turbos - that should work well for you,
and be reasonably quiet. An H or X-pipe would help too.
