ChevyThunder Jan 16th, 06, 12:30 AM Tag looks good and the VIN is in line ...don't know about the rest dragsterman Jan 16th, 06, 01:35 AM I just thought it was kinda funny all the original running gear was missing, even the brakes. I guess people do crazy things? RunawayZ Jan 16th, 06, 02:15 AM I went to look at the car and talked to the owner for a long time. Seems like a legit guy, very knowledgable about 69 Camaros in detail, has about 6 cars in his backyard and tons of parts. I was reading the trim tag issues, and know they are reproduced, but how can you tell for sure if its real? I usually try to look at the backside of the rivets to see if they have been tampered with. Any tips would be great (without helping the bad guys). Thanks. 69 RS/SS 396 4sp 712 LeMans 3:73 frame-off 69 X33 Garnet in process al8apexer Jan 16th, 06, 09:57 AM no title either, bill of sale only lots of cars lost their disc brakes when made into drag cars this one even lost the original seat belts though, rare that someone removes ALL the seat belts (orig replaced with std versions) the holes in the trunk look like someone had a battery back there drag car style ... this one smells like trouble Mr. C Jan 16th, 06, 10:05 AM No title?? Time to walk. Something stinks here. He lives in a state that issues titles and he bought the car in May and wants to resell using the bill of sale made out to him?? Maybe I'm missing something LOL |
