Does anyone have pictures they can post of how the power steering pump brackets bolt to the engine? I'm not sure if I have all the parts I need or not. Thanks.

The small block pump hung off a boss on the water pump. I imagine the BB engine was the same, but hopefully somone will provide solid info for you.

If you want, you can see the three brackets as part number PSP-1 at Rick's, and the bolt kit is PSP-44. My digital camera is on it's way to NM right now, but let's see if I can describe it.

There is a box/cradle shaped bracket that has a through bolt at one end, and mounts to the water pump as David described for the SB.

Then, there is an "L" or "7" shaped bracket that bolts to the first exhaust manifold bolt (short aluminum spacer between bracket and manifold to get the angle right) on the top end and to the side of the block on the lower end.

Finally there is a kind of "j" shaped bracket that bolts to the pump and between the two other brackets, and it has a large slot on the back to allow it to slide for belt tension adjustment.

If you haven't yet, you really should spend the $25 on a 69 AIM. The BB PS pump attachment diagram is at UPC (RPO) N40, page A5. If I had a scanner here at home I'd scan it for you.

Hope you have the pump already. I had to muscle the $169 for a rebuilt one from Rick's, since the 69 BB pump is unique to that year. All the over the counter replacement parts catalogs (Cardone, ACDelco, etc.) are wrong and get you a 67-68 V8 pump, which will NOT work with the 69 brackets.

It looks like you need photos of a long water pump installation...mines a 67 (short water pump)...very different bracket arrangement. Sorry.
