Just installed a new rack and pinoin, and front steering arms on my 67. I am getting the linkage to the column squared away and am looking at fabbing my own adapter between the column and steering shaft. My question is do I need rag joint? This is a non street legal drag only car, so virbration is not a concern, unless it is a safety issue.
Anyone done this?

Lets see if I can spell it right,, How about a Borgenson joint?

Got that, wondering if it is cool to mate the joint straight through without a rag joint. From your post, I assume it is.

If you're not worried about the vibration thru the steering wheel, then yes, you don't need a rag joint, a solid link is fine. Although as a drag car, that means you have solid engine mounts and trans mount and sub frame bushings, so it'll feel sorta like holding onto a weed whacker.
