my dad and I was running around town taking care of some chores and figured we go to the scrape yard and see if anything new had came in. sad to say they just got done crushing a genuine 67 SS camaro. complete car with engine. they said it was a little rusty and figured no body would want it. if i was there before it was crushed i would have bought it and took it home with me.

sad people STILL crushing these american icons.

What a maroon! How can someone in the salvage business not know the value of their inventory?

a few years ago I was following a scrap truck and went to pass it when I saw a 67 RS/SS sitting on top of the other car's I followed the truck a while and he pulled over for fuel I stopped and looked at the car it was a original black on red 1967 RS/SS 396 still had all the chrome and emblems looked rust free I asked him where that load of junked car's came from and he told me an old ladie was having this stuff hauled off ?? it seem's here husband had been collecting old car's for many years and this did not go over well with old ladie she had some cash now and ordered all her late husband's car's crushed !! I actually went to the place where she lived and they was still some car's there but they were F***'s and D***E'S I saw a couple of cuda's and challenger's and they was a 1967 cougar several people tryed to buy them but she would not sell any of them she crushed them all !!! they say one of the cuda's was one of the hemisphere model's some guy from up north stayed there and offered her loads of money for it she told him this was the most fun she ever had in here life and that if it was up to here all old car's would be crushed !!
the crew she hired to crush all the car's tryed to sneak out without crushing the cougar I guess one of e'm wanted it and she got mad and sat out there to watch the rest she said she did not want any one of the damn thing's to ever bother anyone again !! that guy that wanted that cuda thing just about cryed !!!

It happens all the time here in California. People sell their Hemi Cuda convertibles and Z-16 Chevelles to the state for the $500 smog bounty and they are crushed....

Those cars are smog exempt here in Cali....no smog required.

You should go over there and punch that reject in the face! He should have crushed him self along with the Camaro! We would all be better off! HODEDODO, I don't think anyone would want this gal darn thing. One born every minute! You would have to live in the woods, not have a TV or any contact with the outside world to not know these cars are worth something. I am suprised that guy has made it this long. Check out www.carsinbarns.com if you want to see a ton off rotting rides. Some cool stuff, and sad stuff.
