These are still the "affordable" cars. I thought it was funny when the yellow Boss rolled off at 70K, the commentators said if these are considered the affordable cars, maybe we need to have a Monday show next year. The black Z may not have been too bad, assuming it had the original drivetrain in it. Not a stellar car, for sure, but nothing terrible. The stripes would be correct if its an early car. Have to remember, it isnt too uncommon for Zs at Barrett Jackson to get into the 6 figures. Saturday nite is when the big money will be flowing. dave deejaygee Jan 17th, 06, 11:38 PM What did the 67 Camaro go for? Lot 68 coming up is a 71 Z28. HawaiianCamaro Jan 17th, 06, 11:57 PM Congrats "D" I was watching for you but didnt see you bidding:( unless you had someone standing in for you. Its replying right now and your new baby just went across but I know someone who records the auction every year and Ill ask him for a copy for you. Of course hes another Camaro lover with a 69 Pace Car himself Dutch69Camar Jan 18th, 06, 01:55 AM I wonder if someone rolled a beat up bare 69 Camaro shell up there what would it bid too ?? Hey! I have one of those... fiveforty Jan 18th, 06, 02:47 AM I thought that was a good deal for a documented L 78. Nice looking car. Congratulations. 68Baldwin Jan 18th, 06, 05:44 AM I was shocked when I saw a 1970 Yellow Boss 302 Mustang go for $70,000.00 !! Add 8% on top of that to BJ and another 7% to the State Of Arizona and your looking at a additional $10,500.00!! Fords usually sell cheap, but looks like their steadily climbing too... klingrr Jan 18th, 06, 09:35 AM I am just having fun and sitting back watching these people making real A-holes out of themselves driving the price up on ALL cars when they start back and forth with the last 2 bidders. I am also enjoying watching the prices go up on the incorrect cars which can translate to the prices of all of our cars going up. "Think investment guys"! I love hearing from the announcers and the script read by the auctioneer "all number matching" and "unmolested" yeah right, but the people there are sure eating that up. Where are these people getting the money? Simply crazy. I wish I had that kind of money to "throw" around, but unfortunately, I was born with good looks instead of being rich. 5 more days of the circus. Hold on guys, the ride has just begun. Farm Boy Jan 18th, 06, 11:12 AM Where are these people getting the money? Simply crazy.I suspect the majority of the bidders are going into debt to purchase these cars. Their justification for paying those prices is that the cars are appreciating at a higher rate than the interest they are paying the bank, and will continue do so. They also feel if they don’t buy that car today they will be priced out of the market. It has all of the ingredients of a classic economic bubble (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_bubble). And how about all those hyperactive car salesman running the show. It is a car salesman’s dream to have that many suckers, flush with cash, together in one place. I bet it gives them a chubby just thinking about it. :D Brackneyc Jan 18th, 06, 12:05 PM I enjoy the show as well. I did have one issue however with one of the announcers. He was talking about one of the cars (not sure which one now) and he called it a "nice show and shine car." His statement was prefaced with several statements criticizing the detailing job of the engine compartment. His complaint also included him questioning why the owner would not have spent an extra 1000.00 dollars or so detailing the car (engine compartment specifically) so the buyer would end up with the "car of his dreams." The car went for something like $50,000 (maybe less, but it was huge cash). I think it was one of the three Mustangs they had that sold one right after the other. Now, I have an idea of a "show and shine" car, and this car was well beyond what I normally see as I walk the rows of cars at the typical car show. Maybe I'm just being overly critical of a part of the show that doesn't really matter, but some of the comments seem like they are filling time like they do at dog shows. I've never been to a dog show, but flipping through the channels, I have caught a few of them, and they are funny, to me at least. Rich69RS/SS Jan 18th, 06, 12:15 PM Steve said :"It is a car salesman’s dream to have that many suckers, flush with cash, together in one place." HA HA HA !!! 69ss350 Jan 18th, 06, 12:48 PM What was really unbelievable was a beutifully restored red Jaguar XKE that sold for around $27K, then right afterward was this 66 mustang, that went for over $47K that didn't even come close to the quailty of this Jag.... Simply amazing.... They did say that this Jag was the least desirable of it's kind because it was a four-seater.... Just crazy.... camaroman7d Jan 18th, 06, 02:06 PM It's not a whole lot different than e-bay. You get people worked up into a frienzy and they throw out all signs of common sense. Add to that a cute little "auction helper" and bingo egos out weigh the brain. Throw on a little more for the bright lights and moment of TV fame, up go the prices or at least the bids. I thinkthis is goign to lead to a lot of people with hurt feelings and pocket books in the not so distant future. Did any of you see the "behind the scenes of Barret Jackson show"? That pretty much explained it. Gregs68U-U Jan 18th, 06, 07:32 PM A 1969 camaro SS 396 supposedly numbers matching sold for $49,000. I believe it was a seafrost green or close to there. According to the announcer it had the x code on the cowl tag, but that doesn't mean much if it was bought it on ebay:clonk: Anyways, with what some of these cars go for, and assuming it was original and #'s matching I figured somebody got a decent deal there at B-J Greg ScottB Jan 18th, 06, 07:36 PM Glad to see that Brock Yates isn't there asking "does that Z/28 have an automatic?". 68 RS 302 Jan 18th, 06, 08:03 PM I figured that 69 396 would have gone for more. I think that was a pretty good deal if it was in fact a numbers matching. Too bad that they don't give a view of the tag. I bid way too much on the 69 pace. I figured it would have gone closer to 90 grand. rojo Jan 18th, 06, 08:05 PM Brock's not there because he "took a fall" they said. I expect he's getting older now and that sort of thing can happen. soupy Jan 18th, 06, 08:47 PM I also bid to high on the pace car ! I was thinking at least 75k! stevea Jan 18th, 06, 08:54 PM Please..... You guys got to put more prices of cars that have sold. I have neither cable nor dish, just rabbit ears. Help a fellow car enthusiast out. Is there a way to see how they are selling on the computer? Thanks Chuck L Jan 18th, 06, 08:55 PM The pace car of tonight (lot 430.1) was in better shape plus had more correct pieces then the one last night that brought 67,500.00 If I were the seller, I would be happy to get what the car brought, but pissed that one that wasnt as complete as mine brought more... O well.. Anyone hear the anouncer say that any 69 camaro thats SNAZZY with docs is well worth 50,000.00 Brackneyc Jan 18th, 06, 09:37 PM They called a $60,000 1957 Chevy a "nice driver," but said it was no show car. That's just insane. Joe Harrison Jan 18th, 06, 09:41 PM I am not going to say anything bad about the money these cars are selling for. It's America baby......The people bidding must have the money, if they are going in debt then so be it. I congradulate the person willing to take the risk to make a few bones that way. Others I suspect are buying them because that's what they want and they will get it at any cost. Maybe Deejaygee will chime in on this since he bought what I thought was a nice big block 69. Speaking of this 69 I thought it was funny the anouncer was talking about the right fender badge being a little off, then saying that the fender could not be orginal. I had to think what do you expect froma car that is 35 years old, a big block and has torn up more asphalt and put more smiles on it's owners faces than a cheap hooker. Some times these guys try to pick apart the cars on TV and it makes them look like fools. The only one worth listing to is the guy from Hot Rod and he's Mopar biased but that's ok. I would turn off the volume but watching an auction like this in silance just would not be right..............sorta like sitting in front of your computer on e-bay waiting for the next bid to come in on what ever it is your bidding on or looking at. Joe 68 RS 302 Jan 18th, 06, 10:04 PM How 'bout that Amphicar!!!!! HOLY SHNIKES!!!!!! $115,000.00. That's it.....I'm building a 68 Camaro RS/Ski Boat...LMAO kz1000ltd Jan 18th, 06, 10:25 PM I actually grew up next to a guy in Canton, Ohio that had a GARAGE full of amphi-cars and parts, he had at least 3 or 4 that I can remember, a white one, a red one and a baby blue one! I'll never forget the day he took me and my older sister out to Meyers lake to show it off, I was proabably about 6 or 7 years old at the time, but it was something I will never forget. I was really skeptical when we drove into the water, but we had life jackets so I wasn't too worried, we cruised around the lake for about 30 minutes, then drove right out!!! I wish my sister would have had the foresight to marry this clown, if I remember correctly, his father was the owner of a small oil company, and boy were they loaded! I wonder what ever happened to all of those old amphi-cars? Maybe my next trip back, I'll see if I can look him up and see if he's got any of those old cars laying around, I'll do him a favor and take a few off of his hands! BelgianSS Jan 18th, 06, 10:46 PM I have to agree with a few of you that have not appreciated some of the idiotic comments made by that guy whose name is "Keith". I can't tell you how happy I am Brock is not there right now (no dis-respect to the guy). Brock doesn't appear to know squat about classic cars. Keith needs to go next. He was asking some ignorant questions, such as "What's a better motor, a 327 or a Big Block?" Give me a friggin' break!!!!!!! He gave me the impression that he doesn't know American Classic cars at all. Kudos to Steve Magnante (sp?) and all of his knowledge, even though he does have the Mopar bias. That's fine with me because I'd rather listen to him rather than that numnutz Keith in the booth. One more thing....I like Mike Joy but he doesn't need to be drawing some of the conclusions that he has been speculating at. Just like the trim tag comment on the Mopar, and he just wasn't sure why it was a different color......"I think this car is suspect, and maybe has been in a wreck, or has had some questionable paint work at best". O.K., I'm done venting..........Thanks for letting me vent............... deejaygee Jan 19th, 06, 12:18 AM The green car looked nice, a 396/325hp car if I remember. No docs whatsoever. Seller said the engine was dated correct for the car but not original. Real shiney cowl tag with nice new rivets. Pace car, same thing, no docs at all. Block looked like it was decked, no #'s at all. I did bid on a Cortez Silver L78 Nova with Canadian docs, original drivetrain car. Chickened out, winner outbid me by $500. Chris396 Jan 19th, 06, 03:10 AM My grandfather had an Amphicar. My dad said it was a piece of junk. Very slow. But fun to drive into the water and see the looks on everyone's face. click Jan 19th, 06, 08:09 AM Were slotted aluminum valve covers standard on the Pace Car? Chuck L Jan 19th, 06, 08:19 AM No, Pace cars came with the stamped steel covers that were painted orange when the engine was painted. small block wise.. click Jan 19th, 06, 09:05 AM kinda what I thought chuck, that pacer last night had the slotted ones, real original huh? buzzworth Jan 19th, 06, 09:13 AM the whole thing has gotten scary. high prices, marginal vehicles, "classic" cars? more motorcycles? I think the nail was hit o the head when it was stated that this is just a bunch of used car salesmen gone awry. And how many auctions are taking place in the PHX area this week now.....3? 4? When it comes to a more realistic auction, nothing beats Mecum ! It's become a circus.......all held under a BIGtop. and this year, now that SPEED has a better handle on the show, they have 33 hours of coverage and commercials every few minutes.....when the better cars seem to be going through. Bullschnitz ! How much do they get for commercial time now? sean huggerZ Jan 19th, 06, 09:19 AM When Steve was doing his little report about resto-mods, classics and so on, was that Jodi's old yellow 69 he showed. Jeff H Jan 19th, 06, 06:03 PM Yeah, I thought that RS/SS conv looked suspicious and then heard them mention the X55 part. And they kept going on about the real RS parts. When will they learn? yikes 36j1967 Jan 19th, 06, 09:56 PM One of the SB 69 IPC's rolled in tonight and we got a nice lesson from the experts in the booth on cocktail shakers (vibration dampners) that amazingly were original and still with the car. The close up showed a dampner that was shaped like one of those mini kegs of beer from the liquor store cooler and painted black! Apparently since they weigh 60lbs each they were often removed and seldom seen again! I have to admitt I've never seen one like that before.....but I cant afford BJ quality cars anyway so maybe thats the reason? klingrr Jan 20th, 06, 05:35 AM The 68 SS sold later had that famous FORD orange sticker on the rad shroud too. When will they learn? yikes There were several Camaros I watched since this circus started that had those "nice" stickers. Funny thing, when I got my car ( 2 yrs ago) it had one on it too, but it was not until I joined here that I realized they were wrong. So alot of people think they go on there. Ya gotta wonder where that all started. Vintage 68 Jan 20th, 06, 08:50 AM Huh???!!!!! Jody :D I didn't know you had 'twins' Jody... ;) 'klingrr'; "Ya gotta wonder where that all started"... Well, once upon a time, there was this huge repopper that sold a sticker listed "correct reproduction of the original" and listed it as their part number DC930 - alot of people assumed it was... it's just one of those 'Classic' mistakes... The End Man - I can't wait to see what James' Aston Martin goes for - wish I had the $$$ to get that... That must be a really rare car, I've never heard of one of those..........:D (edit) 'Jonesy' beat me to it... :D It was a specially built Lemans. They were built by an outside supplier on a vehicle base Pontiac specially assembled for the option package. They were fairly rare - @1000(+) made??? - and had a wierd mix of other Pont. model parts. All were white with special striping package. They had a 400 (or 403 'olds' engine depending on where it was sold) and a TH400 trans with special drivetrain gearing. I had an In-law that had one and 'back-in-the-day' of "decal performance" from the 'Big-4', they were fairly good performers. I actually saw one on 'craigslist' a couple months ago for super cheap $ (@$2k if I remember right...) and almost went to look at it - now I'm sorry I didn't. John Scoop69RS-SS Jan 20th, 06, 11:12 AM I thought one Can Ams description was an off-shoot of Cuda's. If I remember it was the equivalnt of the Z28. The memory is really stretched on this though. Rick. camaroman7d Jan 20th, 06, 03:35 PM I have a friend that had a Can Am he was all excited when he ttold me he bought it (I had never even heard of one) when he pulled up I was disappointed/shocked. While they may be rare that doesn't make them worth money or perform well. They are big cars and really nothing special (IMO) they look like a Le Mans with a body and sticker kit. I know car collecting and the car hobby has changed a lot, so because it's rare it must be worth something to someone. I still have a hard time seeing classics (if you want to call a Can Am that) as an investment. To me they are toys meant to be enjoyed not to make a profit off of (I know that is not the case for 98% of the people in the "hobby" these days). kz1000ltd Jan 20th, 06, 05:11 PM I consider myself to be pretty knowledgable on "classic" cars, and I sware, that's the very first time in my life I've heard of a Can Am! I saw Charlie Lillard Clill :) I waved at ya charlie. :) JWA Jan 20th, 06, 10:29 PM So here is a question: If the buyer wins the bid so he can keep his car, does he pay 8% or 16% ? I noticed a few of the cars winning bids seem to be 8% higher and others look like the final value was more. deejaygee Jan 20th, 06, 11:14 PM The winning bidder needs to add 8% to the winning bid to buy the car. Apparently, the seller also needs to ante up 8%. Last year's sales were, if I remember correctly, jwere reported as just short of $62 million. I checked out the 67Z, seeing as I like those cars and own one. I figured the car was worth $60K and would go for $75K. Shows you how much I know as it went for $126K. For those of you who've never attended B-J, it's quite an experience, kind of a reality TV show blended with Twilight Zone. And it'll get more and more surreal as Saturday eve nears with all the primo lots (Futureliner, mess 'o Hemis, crop of crossram JL8 camaros, etc etc). And that darn Charley is in every scene. I wouldn't miss it. JFINN1976 Jan 21st, 06, 07:37 AM Anyone have any guess as to what the ZL-1 will go for?? looks pretty damn sharp Brackneyc Jan 21st, 06, 08:50 AM This car was originally sold about 3 miles from my house. I have purchased vehicles from this dealership. That was the only auction I saw last night. I saw the Moline, Illinois tag on the back of the car during the auction. That was pretty cool. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/events/scottsdale/vehicles/cardetail_list.asp?id=181365 67CAMAROSS Jan 21st, 06, 08:57 AM 205,000 For A 69 Z People Are Crazy I Dont Care On How Low The Miles Are That Just Means All The Oil Seals Are Hard And Rotten Sitting up Zedder Jan 21st, 06, 09:13 AM I had a deal on that '67 Z 18 months ago in exactly the same condition as it is currently for $49K, but the deal fell apart. It sold early last year for $55K to someone else. The entire body was warped during the resto when it was sand blasted instead of media blasted and it has a decked block. Nice driver condition car and I agree with Denis' appraisal at about $75K today. camaroman7d Jan 21st, 06, 10:24 AM Wasn't that yellow 69 Camaro with black stripes the car that Jody built? It went for ~ $148,000. They had good things to say about it and I was glad to hear it. They usually pick apart the "custom' cars, shows the quality of work Jody does. Kudos!! CarlC Jan 21st, 06, 10:38 AM Yeah, I saw clill as well. Seemed like clill was having fun egging on the guy trying to buy the orange Ford. His wife kept saying "NO." Gary L Jan 21st, 06, 01:07 PM 3 things. 1. I am glad the British commentator is gone! 2. Every '67 Vette came with the 427/435 option from the factory. 3. Seems like every nice '57 Chevy has the dual quad 283 "factory" option. stevo camaro Jan 21st, 06, 03:57 PM I can't help but wonder if we're not going to see the one off custom rods & trucks not being built like they are now. Some of these pieces aren't even getting half of what it cost to build. Detroit iron is eating them alive. How long are guy's going to throw so much in a custom knowing how soft the market seems to be getting for them. Some, like Chezzoom, and a few others are holding there own. But it just seems like alot of people are taking a loss on some nice rides. Anybody else seeing this? 69 Jan 21st, 06, 04:10 PM 1/2 million $ for Mustangs and Cudas? I'm kinda sick of watching this now. 67 L-35 Jan 21st, 06, 06:09 PM Hollyyy smokes!!! Ray Allen chevelle just went for 1.1 MIL!!!!!!!!! camaroman7d Jan 21st, 06, 07:27 PM Stevo, If the custom is built by someone with a "name" they bring more money. It isn't really how nice the cars are, it's the "history" of the car and who has owned it. This is why I don't understand the whole thing, but it their money and they must be smarter than I am since they have the money to spend. If prices keep going like this I will have to start playing with imports. BudW Jan 21st, 06, 07:42 PM 4 million for a bus, way crazy. gonewacky Jan 21st, 06, 08:30 PM 1970 HEMI CUDA, $2,000,000,,, TWO MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... That car and a story on the drive home was in Hot rod magazine a few months back. He does actually drives the cars he owns!!! jackr Jan 21st, 06, 08:49 PM An observation is that there are more hemi cars running around Phoenix this week than Z28's. Kind of funny that most every mopar running around Scottsdale has a hemi. Kind of like every 69 camaro on EBay is a Z. I saw a guy tonight at the Pavillions who told me with a straight face that his 70 hemi cuda was for sale at $1,000,000 firm. I saw him driving it home. At the end of the evening it looked like Craig Jackson had been hitting the bottle or he was afraid that someone was waiting behind the big top to offer him a free ride out to the desert. Foose cars bringing a quarter mill and ZL1's being rushed off the stage for pocket change? Everyone tells me I must experience Scottsdale. I think I'll stay right here at Auburn, Indiana using a "reserve" with auctioneers working twenty bidders at a time. No hype, just real cars in front of real buyers. Chris396 Jan 21st, 06, 11:23 PM Craig Jackson looks angry even when he's smiling. I bet he can give a good ass chewing lol. af1fe Jan 22nd, 06, 08:58 AM For a "NO RESERVE" auction didn't the starting bid seem high on alot of the cars? The low mileage 69 Z which sold for 205K had the valve covers reversed, incorrect water pump, the ZL2 hood was not original to the car, also did you see the glass windshield bottle? The deal of the night was the ZL1! That car should have gone for alot more. klingrr Jan 22nd, 06, 09:13 AM What did that ZL-1 go for? JFINN1976 Jan 22nd, 06, 09:16 AM $486,000, sounds cheap for what it is, you would think being an automatic would make it a little more rare, kinda cool I think it had no options just to go fast. I though it would of went alot more though 3SuperSports Jan 22nd, 06, 09:29 AM This auction made me decide not to sell anymore Camaros (first gen. that is) cause I might never be able to afford another one. I found it interesting how long some cars stayed on the platfrom when they didn't think they were getting enough money. I remember the Motion Camaro was that way. If I had the high bid at $xxxk and they paused to pump up the crowd, I think I'd be a little angry about it. Gary L Jan 22nd, 06, 10:22 AM The commentators put it all in perspective. BJ auction prices probably aren't duplicated anywhere else. It is the combination of TV, rich bidders etc. Chris396 Jan 22nd, 06, 12:29 PM The ZL1 seemed like a good deal. So was that silver Pontiac concept car. You'd have enough left over to restore it again if it's not up to par. They thought the Motion car was going to go for a lot more than it did. I'm told if you know someone there they'll pump your car longer on the block. Remember last year how fast they took the Gold Motion Vette off even though people were bidding on it. Mark C Jan 22nd, 06, 12:38 PM ZL1 was a rebody, which hurt its value, apparently by alot. It is essentially a clone with a ZL1 engine. JFINN1976 Jan 22nd, 06, 12:51 PM I didn't hear that part, did it say that on the website? or did I just miss that. But it still had original tags and vin right? Mark C Jan 22nd, 06, 12:56 PM It is on their website somewhere, not on the page for the car itself. Yes, the VIN and tag are original, as is the driveline, possibly the firewall. The rest of if it is from another car, apparently the original rear clip was to far gone to save. af1fe Jan 22nd, 06, 01:03 PM Say its not so! Does that mean the certificates that E. C. issues on these cars are worthless? Mark C Jan 22nd, 06, 01:22 PM Maybe that's why he's not doing it anymore. Does anyone really expect Ed to check sheetmetal dates to see which parts of the car are original? You've got a VIN on the dash, a pair of hidden ones on the firewall (which may or may not be visible when he does his "certification") and assembly dates on the driveline components. Is he supposed to carbon date the paint? MStennes Jan 22nd, 06, 02:54 PM I hear you I cant afford to sell my Camaro as I couldnt afford to buy another one rojo Jan 22nd, 06, 04:36 PM Seems like most of the high dollar hipe from Saturday has died down a little. The yellow '67 Chevelle SS match# 4spd A/C etc. didn't sound like such a bad deal at 55k. 69Mike Jan 22nd, 06, 05:03 PM Looks like Sunday is the time to buy a car at B-J. Many of the sales on Sunday seem to be fair whereas Saturday was just unbelievable. If you were a seller most certainly you would want your car to go through on Saturday. Many of the cars today (Sunday) are going through at roughly half of what they were selling for on Saturday. Wonder how they determine which car goes through on what day. One of the announcers said that registration fees to run the cars through ranged from $300+/- to $1000+/-. The more you pay the better chance you have of going through on Sat? Their total show sales were approaching $100,000,000! Quite a show. I am going next year. Mike 36j1967 Jan 22nd, 06, 05:10 PM The seller of the the BB Z10 should be happy at 64K plus premium. X33D80 Jan 22nd, 06, 07:54 PM Even I could see that the BB Z10 was missing a lot of its originality in the engine bay. But it was a nice looking car. The '67 convertible with the 427 engine brought ~$65K. Pretty inpressive with a non-original engine and TTII wheels. angelglo Jan 22nd, 06, 08:02 PM one of the funniest things that i heard all we from the BJ auction wsa regarding the 67 mustang fastback. they said it was a tribute to a replica of the Eleanor with which was just a fastback with shelby parts since eleanor was never a shelby production. not the exact words but it was close to what was said. angel 3SuperSports Jan 22nd, 06, 08:14 PM one of the funniest things that i heard all we from the BJ auction wsa regarding the 67 mustang fastback. they said it was a tribute to a replica of the Eleanor with which was just a fastback with shelby parts since eleanor was never a shelby production. not the exact words but it was close to what was said. angel I caught that too. "Is this a clone of a clone???" lol. I liked Foose's comment, "this isn't an Overhaulin' car, it wasn't built in a week." Comment made when the Legendary Camaro designed by him wasn't getting a high enough bid. Chris396 Jan 22nd, 06, 10:15 PM I didn't like the Foose Camaro. It seemed a lot of high dollar hot rods didn't sell for as much as it cost to build. Jeff H Jan 23rd, 06, 06:36 AM The BM car is overpriced IMO. The Foose car is a little too high as well. But I think Steve M made the comment about the BM car "the wheels are a little too disco for me" and that was the first thought I had about the car like 2 months ago. 68Baldwin Jan 23rd, 06, 07:50 AM Yeah seems like Sunday is Best Buy day.Buy on Sunday sell on next years Saturday at BJ 2007.Too much Bling on the 2006 BM car.I'm still trying to figure out how Joel can call these Baldwin Motion cars, when he lives in Florida now and these cars are being built in Florida.Shouldn't they be called Florida Motion cars or FM's.I love the old Motion cars, can't get use to the 2006 cars ..... POCO Jan 23rd, 06, 07:59 AM Did anyone here the guy say the 67 or 68 428 mustang cj was the fastest production car made? I thought the 70 454 LS6 chevelle was??? MStennes Jan 23rd, 06, 09:29 AM I'm still chuckling over the remark "clone of a clone" or the one I really like is how Mopars are not clones but "recreations" thats the word we need to use now I guess it seems to be worth about $40,000.00 more in the end.
