Searched the forum couldn't come up with an answer.

Can a 67 LOS car with 12A build date and 1209 engine date have a 12-bolt with a 1216 date? I thought I'd read a thread somewhere by John Z that the rear end could postdate the car's build date by a few days on odd occasion.

Not on a Van Nuys car - it took a week for axles to get to Van Nuys by rail, which would put that one in the plant just before Christmas, and a 12A car would have been built and shipped by the 16th. That span wouldn't have worked for a late 12A Norwood car either.
