What would be a good carb for a daily driver on a zz383? GM recommends a 750 & salle chevrolet does too, but their premium 383 comes with a holley 770 street avenger. Is this a good carb? Summit sells them for $364.88 which seems like a good price but I don't know anything about the avenger line. Would a demon 750 be a better choice? I hear a lot of good things about them. Both these carbs are vaccum & have elec chokes which I want for a daily driver. If someone could give me some advice or has this engine with a carb they are happy with please tell me about it.

Thanks in advance!!

They are all good choices. The basic Holly 750 is a good carburetor and better budget minded, however the BG and Street Avenger have some high end features that also make them attractive. For instance the BG has a billet base plate and clear sight plugs. Personally I think the Street Avenger and Demon should offer some performance advantage over the basic 4160. I guess for my money though I would go with the Demon.

Beware if clear sight plugs for Holley carbs,,, crack and leak unexpectedly... Fire Hazards. Use the standard metal plugs for Holley or BG see thru bowls.
