I have restored a 2 57 chevy's and found several resorces to list the correct colors and brands of paint to redo, inner fenders, frame, brackets, hardware etc. I noticed that Eastwood has many, but does not specify what they are correct for. Example...I don't want to just spray the inner fenders with any flat or semi gloss. Is there a resto book that lists these paints?

Eastwood tends to generalize. It's chassis black for example is not the correct chassis black for all cars. Err, I think that means we agree!

You have to had READ musclecar magazine resto articles the past 15-20 years to SEE and LEARN what paints and formulations are really used on high dollar trailer queen show winners. Certain aeresol/spray paints may or may not, LOOK correct but over time, SPRAY GUN applied products from PPG, DuPont, Sherwin Williams, SEM, etc etc......will be far more durable with consistant quality appearance.

I agree 100% with Chuck. I took me a while to lay down the spray cans, but since I have, I can't believe how much more durable good quality paint is from a spray gun...now I try to paint everything in batches with my spray gun.
