In researching my Camaro I have made sence out of my VIN # and the cowel tag, but where do you find the Protect O Plate on the car? There is more information on there than the other two but I don't know where it is. Thanks in advance!

The Protecto Plate was given to the new owner when the car was recieved from the dealer as part of the warrenty information. It was not hidden inside the car. If the plate was not given to you when you purchased the car it is likely lost to time. You could try tracking down previous owners starting with the last and go back from there in rare cases they will still have documentation for the car, though this is rare in my experience. The only paper work that could be in the car still may be a uild sheet hidden just about anywhere. These are more common on LOS cars but some have been found on NOR cars.

The protect-o-plate is attached to the original customers warranty card, Most people didnt leave them in there car, although they should have. So sad to say you wil not find it on the car.
If you have a Van Nuys 69 camaro, there is a good chance you might find a build sheet that list the vin, engine, trans, rear end and options.

Has anyone found one (buildsheet) pushed up under the dash? I struck out on the gas tank and under the rear seat springs. My next check was under the dash or carpet. I have a LOS car but nothing yet.

My chassis build sheet was on top of my gas tank.
From what I've seen/heard this was very common for the LA cars.
