Hey guys,

I heard some of you complaining about the 5th gens looks. I have to agree it does look like the newer Cads. A Camaro should never look like a Cadillac. So I made some changes to it to make it look more like a retro 1st gen. I think one of the biggest problems is the body is too short, so I changed it. I hope you like them.

W/out spoiler, longer front and back, little bigger side mirror, needed some kind of rocker trim, gills were too short, would have made them arched but tough to do with mouse. I need a graphic pen.

With spoiler.

Nice job! You should be working for GM. Can you make it with a modern version of the Rallye wheels?

Much improved.

Maybe could you lower the front end a tiny bit too?

I'm real glad you like my changes. I changed the gills below. I like these better. I'll try to update ralleyes for it and lower the front. Stay tuned :)

Ditto EPO.. Send your resume to GM. Do you think you can design the front grill and rear tail panel to?

Wow! Thanks again for the great comments.

I'm guessing since I only graduated from computer school and not college. GM wouldn't accept me on their design team. Although I sure would like to work for them. :)

Kevin, I'm working on the Rallyes.

efd, I'll give front and rear view a try.

I thought I'd try my gills on their Q-panel. I like it, this car mostly needed a better front and back.

Okay, since you seem to be open to opinions the front spoiler is the only "undesirable" feature you've added and that's just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinion. I wasn't thrilled about it either. I don't like that it's on an angle but if you don't stay with the body line it would look even worse.

Here's same pic without it.

Can you make the front and rear spoilers smaller, keep the new gills, find a better set of '06 vetted wheels, keep the door gap angles here, and work on the front grill. I'm having a little trouble with it.

The mirror is a little more Z06 and I took your cue on reducing the bottom door angle. Although I didn't eliminate it. And that stupid looking hood intake is gone.

RamJam here's where I'm at so far with the front end. I squared off the grill a little, enlarged the front spoiler, and added a small rear spoiler. I also rounded off the bottom of the rear grill a little.

Shorten the rear overhang a bit. It looks out of proportion to the front.

Wanna get even more creative? Reduce the overall diameter of the wheel openings. They were designed for 20" and 22" wheels. It's highly probable the hem flanges on the '09 will be designed around an 18" wheel.

In other words...make the wheels a bit smaller and follow with the wheel openings.

I also made some changes to the 5th Gen pic that I would like to share. The changes are subtle and you might not see them at first. Can I send them to someone to post on here?
