I just installed inner fender splash guards on my '69. I am having a discussion with a friend at work and he tells me I put them on wrong. Here's my question:
Do the rubber splash guards lay on top (engine bay) of the inner fender or below (wheel side) of the inner fender. I put my staples down through the inner fender with the open end of the staples facing the wheel then my rubber splash guard went under the inner fender. When I bent my staples, the open end was against the rubber. I've looked at pictures of the engine compartments of alot of '69 Camaros and most don't have any splash guards installed. Can anyone provide the correct way to install them. Even some pictures would be better. MY '69 assembly manual shows what looks to be pictures of the way I installed mine, but it's not real clear.
