just rewired the 69 with A Autowire. I can't remember, foolish me, but are the amber front park lights on or off when the headlights are on? My rewire guy says on- which makes since, but I vaguely remember them being off when the headlights are on. Am I halluncinating? Thanks for enlightening me.

They stay on when the headlights are on.

The parking lights operate when you pull the light switch the first notch and remain on after the second notch when the headlights go on. If the parking lights go off, something is not right with the wiring. Do the headlights go on first before the parking lights?

Dave, If your headlights come on first before your parking lights, your front end wiring harness is not wired correctly. Apparently the wiring for the parking light and the wiring for the headlights are switched. Is this a new wiring harness or was it rewired? If it is new, I would send it back for another one. If it's a rewire you will need to switch the wires around for it to work correctly.

I believe the 67 is supposed to turn off when the headlights come,but the 68 the running lights stay on. you change it by changing the location of the wire on the headlight switch.

On my 67 RS, my front parking lights do stay on when the headlights are activated. Is the RS headlight wiring different from the other non RS 67 models?
