I have a new hood and cowl panel from Goodmark, and was wondering what kind of prep really goes into this stuff? The rest of my car has been taken down to metal, filled, sanded and primed. Do the new parts require the same treatment?
Can anyone point me to a good place to read about prepping new panels?

Clean it with a wax and grease remover, sand the edges with a red scotch pad and sand the rest with 400 or 320 grit then prime. I would not recommend sanding off the black E-coat, it's the best base coating.
