Read all the different threads (website) on fitment and based on my measurements, the following combo should fit and not rub but its real close and I think the rear shock may sit inside the rim. The combo is as follows;

fr. 235/45 17X8 4.75 bs TTii
rr 255/45 17X9.5 5.5 bs TTii

Anyone running this combo without issues/Rubbing or can someone please reccommend a better conmbo.......The car is stock ride height with no changes to any major component that may have any effect on this matter...Many thanks in advance this part of my quest is driving me nuts..........D

That's what I have on my 69. I was concerned about the clearance on the shocks too, but everything fits nice. No problems at all. I could have gone with a larger rear (275) but went with the 255 just to be sure. :thumbsup:

Yeah, it's been converted to disc brakes but that's about it.
