I have a temp sending unit near the front of my manifold (eddlebrock air gap manifold) that I currently connected my temp gauge to. I also have a 195 degree temp sending unit at the back or close to the firewall that I have my dual electric fans connected to...I start the motor and watch the gauge go up to around 200 degrees and the fans do not kick on. I can ground out the gauge for the fans and they do come on, but I am wondering if there could be a difference between the front of the manifold and the rear or is there a way to check the fan sending unit? It is brand new and came with the fans...does this sound normal should I wait for the temp to climb higher? What is the hottest I can get the motor without having problems?
