I have been patiently awaiting the re-tooled 68 1/4's but have been told that they are a long ways off from being released and I want to have my car on the road this coming spring. I have been toiling with the idea of using 67 1/4's and cutting out the side marker lights, NOS are not an option for obvious cost reasons and previous owner had put patch panels on using rivets and pounds of filler and fibreglass, nasty mess.

Before going forward I just want to make sure that I am correct in the fact that all I will have to do is cut out the side marker lights.

You also have a vent inside the door jamb.Other than that and the light they will work.

Steve, do you already have the quarters removed? If not, I have a pair of old ones I cut off of my car, if you need parts of them. I can send pictures if you want. Just email me tonight and then I can snap the pics to you. The quarters I cut off were original ones, since my car was a 67, I cut em off. They are actually for a 68. The side markers were filled in.

Hi Steve, I talked to the guys at Goodmark today and they said the 68's (Left side) had been re-tooled and are available. Anyone have any luck or not with them yet??

The Goodmark quarters are not re-tooled! They are new tooling from Golden Legion. They didn't make them before so they are new tooling, not re-tooled. Just a marketing ploy. Good luck
