I’m trying to install the cowl induction (Super Scoop) system on my ’69 Z28. If any of you have the system on your car, would you mind taking a few digital photos of the system so I can get a better idea of where all of the components are installed and where the wires are run? The Camaro assembly manual really doesn’t provide enough detail for me to go on and I don’t want to start drilling holes in my firewall until I’m sure what I’m doing.
Thanks,
Chris

Welcome to Team Camaro, I think...didn't you pm me with this question too?
There's really no need to spam the whole site with this stuff. I'm deleting the one you put in electrical. An answer will come soon.

The firewall piercing instructions are in the front of the book.
Since the main harness will be directly behind the hole, remove it or drill carefully.

Welcome to Team Camaro!!!
I don't have any pics because mine is not installed yet, but I have drilled the hole in the firewall per the AIM (page 485).
Looking at it as pictured (from the engine compartment), locate the small fuse block mounting (screw) hole to the top left of the fuse block connection.
From the center of the screw hole, measure to your right, .60" (19/32"), then up .80" (13/16"). This will be the center of the hole which is 3/4". As suggested earlier, if it's not already, it would be best to move the inside wiring harness because a 3/4" drill bit coming through there could cause much dammage!!
The wires from the hood run throught the plastic wiring retainer screwed to the top of the firewall above the engine.
There is a 1/8" screw hole for the relay that might already be there. From the left (pass side) wire retainer screw at the top of the firewall, measure down 2.85" (2 7/8") & to the right 1" and that is where the relay mounts. If there's not a hole there, then drill a 1/8".
The only other hole is behind the accelerator lever where a plastic clip goes through to hold the wiring in place. This is a 1/4" hole and could already be there also. From the wiring retainer screw on the right side (dr side) of the retainer, measure down 7.20" (7 3/16") and to the right, 1".
Hopefully this will clear up the drawing in the AIM for you. Again, be sure there's nothing on the inside you will damage when drilling throught the firewall!!!

Thanks for the responses. I really appreciate it. I'm going to install the system this weekend. Incidently, I was not "spamming the whole site". I made 3 posts total. One in electrical, one in engine, and one in general tech. I figured I'd be able to cover my bases better and increase my chances of getting more responses that way since not everybody checks every single forum. So thanks for the warm welcome.........I think.
