I was wondering who would know who exactly sells new Xenon type headlights for my 69 Camaro. Just want to get better lighting and the blue light for night driving. Also I was wondering does anyone know where I can get the clip or clamp for the the AC hoses the clamp connects to the altenator bracket rubber coated. Last questions what about the foam that goes over the ac hose like the it cam from the factory. I had the AC hoses replaced but the foam that goes over was thrown out! Thanks again.....Lance

Drive my classic camaro....at night......in Minnesota.......ahhhhh I don't think so..LOL. Too damn many deer!! I haven't seen any ad's for those blue lights but there is a mod from MAD Electric that will increase the brightness of the standard lights.

There is something even better then those xenon bulbs, HID (High Intensity Discharge)Lights, There is a company out there that sells the kit complete.
Standard headlamp harness plugs or hard wires into a transformer and it has the HID bulb harness coming out the other end. Replace standard headlight assy. with a replacement special HID lens/capsule and your up and running. Cost I think is about 500.00 dollars, I put this same setup on my wifes Acura, was about 350.00 since factory lens could be reused best driving improvment thats been done to the car. Check on ebay for HID Headlamps

Does anyone collect the Camaro Performers magazines?

lchb7,

If you collect Camaro Performers magazines There is one issue that has a dark blue 67 or 68 on the cover. It also has an article titled "Fat Farm" in it, which is about weight reduction. Anyway that issue has an article on an HID conversion kit for the first gen camaro. I can't remember the website that sells the kit but I do remember that the kit only cost about 200 dollars and came with two headlight housings, 2 bulbs, and a wiring harness that spliced into the factory light harness with a special connector and spades. I'll look around the house and see if I can find it and get the address for you.

I was looking for info yesterday on the NHTSB site and found the NHTSB has ordered several HID kit companies to recall their kits and offer refunds. It appears some of the HID kits are not "certified" by the NHTSB and they are a bit upset.

Is there any information on how to wire the HID into the factory headlight wiring? I have a set of HID's from a LExus GS400, and I have been toying with the idea of trying to get it to work in my Camaro..... Any ideas?
