I am trying to find a quality windshield clip that you see on vintage Trans Am cars and modern racecars too. The clips are on the outside of the windshield running over the factory moldings and help keep the windshield in place at high speed. They are usually stainless and run vertical. There are usually 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom of the windshield. Does anybody know where to get these or am I looking at making them myself?

It sounds like you are refering to the brackets that are mounted to keep the windshield or rear window (back light to us old guys) from blowing out due to air pressure.

My guess is that the shops that built the cars just fab'd them.

You could try looking through some of the publications that cover "stock car" racing.

Thank you..I will keep surfing and asking around. I think these items may be a self made item only.
