Does anyone know what is the bracket for that is welded above the clutch fork opening on a Lakewood 15000 bellhousing? I want to remove it as it gets in the way of one bolt and adjusting the offset dowel.

I'm not positive, but I believe it's for mounting a slave cylinder if you're using a hydraulic clutch setup.

It's for a slave cylinder like 12run said but also for a pivot ball. If you don't require it you can cut it off.
