Is the carrier any different in the 60's vintage truck 12 bolt rearends and the cars? I have one with the code HE on the axle tube. Any idea what this rearend is? Kevin

Yes they are different. The truck differential can be installed in the car rear end with some creative shimming, but it isn't a good idea.
