i have a '02 camaro ss that produces a 'shudder ' type feeling on moderate to heavy acceleration....it can be felt through the car, even a little more through the shifter. i am wondering if the stock motor/trans/diff mounts would produce this condition if they were worn. any ideas?
thanks

thanks ml6-71.... well, from a standing stop, it feels like it starts kicking in around 35mph, and i'd say between 4000 and 5000 rpm. the harder you accelerate, the more prodominate it becomes....clutch woes ?

see LS1tech.com... Site's more aimed toward 4th gens, and their problems..
Doesnt sound like a trans mount to me, it'd bang... Could be the driveshaft out of balance, worn bearing somewhere, wheel(s) out of balance, etc...
good luck

Does the car get this feeling strong when you accelerate hard while turning? I have a 95 LT1 and it shuddered when I started off hard but usually while pulling out into an interesection. The posi clutches in the rearend was causing it. I put some conditoner in the rearend grease and it stopped after a couple hundred miles. just a thought, Kevin
