hey i have a 69 standard camaro how can find out what motor &trans came in it , with just having the vin# this is what i got off the cowl

hi, on your vin#, if it starts out 123, then it had a straight 6 engine in it, if it starts out 124, then it probly was a v8(307?,327?, 350). there's no way of telling which exact engine it came with by just looking at the vin and cowl tag #'s. you might want to look at camaros.org and do some research, it might help you out. they phased out the 327 in favor of the 307 sometime during production. x11= non-ss396 nonz28 with style trim. good luck.
