Is there a easy way to lean out an electronic feed-back carb? easier than changing metering rods? i moved to wyoming and the elevation here is roughly 7,000 ft above sea level where im at, i was also wonderin how it would run with no changes, its on an 85 monte carlo ss-q/jet, should be the same as an 85 camaro? and any help on finding decent places to find the parts that i would need would be appreciated also, thanks -derek

Not sure if I understood? I dont think GM had a electronic feedback carb? But you could do it with metering rods and main jets. If I recall correctly,, there may be something on that Q Jet? that is called a hi altitude compensator? Is that What you have? You dont have a computer on that car do you? Thought that they started in 87?

oh, ya, they did, don. They replaced the accelletator pump with a solenoid, I think, and hooked it to a computer and o2 sensor. i had an 86 monte SS that had one of those!

The '86 El Camino I had was equipped with one as well... Never really messed with mine so no help on leaning it out. Try increasing the timing a bit it may help over come some of the atmospheric pressure change, the right plugs might help too. As for parts try www.rockauto.com
