I bought a new factory fit harness for my console gauges. I have all the gauges hooked up but there is one black ground wire that needs to be grounded. Does it matter which gauge I ground it to. I hope this made sense.

I hope this made sense. klingrr Feb 6th, 06, 03:57 PM I am sure if I am wrong somebody will set this straight, but as far as I know from my gauges, the ground goes from the gas gauge to the temp gauge. Mark C Feb 6th, 06, 04:21 PM Ground wire in the harness attaches to the rear gauge mounting plate, dead center of the plate, there should be a hole there for a sheetmetal screw. There is a jumper wire that goes from the rear plate to the front plate. Console lights for the fuel and temp gauge won't work without the jumper. klingrr Feb 6th, 06, 04:36 PM Thanks Mark, I was thinking of the jumper wire not the direct ground (brain cramp). ENP Feb 6th, 06, 07:53 PM Mark, I sent you a pic of my harness and gauges. I am still confused where the black ground wire goes. |
