I bought a new factory fit harness for my console gauges. I have all the gauges hooked up but there is one black ground wire that needs to be grounded. Does it matter which gauge I ground it to. I hope this made sense.

I am sure if I am wrong somebody will set this straight, but as far as I know from my gauges, the ground goes from the gas gauge to the temp gauge.

Ground wire in the harness attaches to the rear gauge mounting plate, dead center of the plate, there should be a hole there for a sheetmetal screw. There is a jumper wire that goes from the rear plate to the front plate. Console lights for the fuel and temp gauge won't work without the jumper.
