My valve covers need to be cleaned up a little.They have a little bit of a white film or corrosion on them.I tried some mother's alum. and mag polish, spruced them up a little but did not clean the white stuff off.

Go to your local truck stop or semi truck repair shop and get Alcoa's Alum Polishing products.

Comes with etcher, polishing compound and protectant. I use it on my Classic Alcoa's and the shine lasts for 6-9 months. Expect to pay $40 USD.
