Gents,
Is there a straight drop in drive shaft for a Powerglide to 700R4 conversion? What little I have read in a couple places is that the 700 and the Turbo 400 are the same dimension, but TCI says otherwise, short or long tail shafts the xmissions are not the same. My intentions are to order a new aluminum 3" shaft from IEDLS if there is not a direct drop in, but since it is mail order I don't want to F*$@! up the dimensions. I am in Germany and it is cheaper, faster, and easier to ship big fancy expensive parts over here than it is to chase all over Europe to find someone that does this type of stuff. Does anyone have all the dimensions for the output yoke, drive shaft and input yoke to transplant the 700R4 into a factory 327/Powerglide/open 10-bolt. It will make me feel better if my measurements come up the same as someone else's before I order.
Next Q, does anyone know if it is true a 75-80 Ford Granada 9" will drop right in to a 67 Camaro?
Steve
