Hi all. Does anyone know exactly where the louver trim holes go ON A 69? I had new qtrs put on and didn't make a template of the old hole locations. Also, I had new door skins put on and you guessed it no template of old mirror holes. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Do what I did. Take your old louvers, grind the posts off. Drill a hole where each post was. Then line up the louver, dimple a hole and there you go. The louver only fits well a certain way.
Templates are available from the parts houses.

Kevin, that's a great idea.
I did mine the hard way. made a template, aligned in carefully. re-aligned it, re-aligned it re-aligned it. Drilled pilot holes that were still off!!! But were close enough that I was able to hog out one side of the holes to adjust, adn then final drill with the correct size.
I guess I should have asked you, first. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

Even with the template, you will have to be REAL careful. The louver trim sort of fits over the lip of the louver stampings on the quarters. Just a little off, and it will not fit right.
I used my original rt quarter to make a template for the left quarter. I used a large piece of paper, and marked the top of the quarter, the door opening edge, and the outline of stamped louver in the quarter. I was very, very careful, and still was off a little.
If it were me, I would take Kevin's approach over the template route. with his way, the only way to screw up is if you do not drill through the molding in the center of the pins.
Remember, it's really hard to un-drill a hole.
Good luck with whichever route you take.

Very good idea Kevin. I have a set of quarter louvers that need installed. I also purchaced a template for this job but it did not look like it would line things up correctly, so i did not drill. I will try this method. Thanks !!
