If your oil pick-up has gauze to prevent the needle bearings going through, I wouldn't bother with them.
If you're really worried, I'd get a strong magnet and drag it toward the sump plug, hopefully dragging the bearings with it. I would then use a small magnet to reach in and grab them if possible.
It's a real surprise that your rocker broke. Do you have good springs in this engine?

I would tear it down to make sure you don't miss anything and cause some major damage.

I would strip the block, throughly clean everything, and put it back together. But then again I am a freak for doing things correct the first time. Murphys Law (Anything that can go wrong will go wrong) was made for me. So how lucky are you? Yeah the chances are good they all fell through and wont be a issue, but if you like your engine why chance it?
Just my 2 cents

Like already mentioned, they will or should be in pan, run one of those long magnets in and sweep. Could even be on top of oil pick up housing. Put an oil plug with a magnet on it , that will catch a few. Might want to pull pan and check. Look in cly head oil return hole,, you may find a couple there too, inside the valve springs? See if you can find all of them.
