hey guys whats up? i recently purchased a 93 z28 automatic. its been runnin frine for about a month. i was on the highway the other day....sumone was goin to slow for my liking so i decided to pass them....switched lanes....put the pedal to the floor......i hear a sound that sounds exactly like a blow off valve for a turbo car( mine is not turbo) as soon as i hear this the engine dies! pull over to the side of the road. car turns over but will not start. took it to a local shop all they can figure out is the car is getting no spark to the plugs and the injectors are getting no signal to inject fuel.........any ideas whats wrong??? could it be the damn optispark? thanx for ur help

Reads like a fusible link may have become an open piece of wire down at the solenoid stud, the stud where the positive battery cable bolts onto. Or, dirty connections somewhere.

Strange to have two separate systems dead at the same time.

with no fuel and no spark my guess would be the ignition module. but I can't explain the noise you heard
