This is for a 68 with power steering on a fast burn 385. I know the doug Thorley's are great but a little pricey. I need to go with something a little less expensive. Summit lists the hooker supercomps for about $340 and the hedman's for about $175. Both painted with 1 3/4" tubes. Tech guy said they will both fit my 68. What gives?

From experience .... I would call the actual header manufacturer and ask them if a particular part number will work with the fast burn heads and your chassis. Wally from muncie4speed.com played heck getting a set to fit for his Chevelle. He finally had a set custom made by Stahl and STILL had some minor problems.
