More of a body shop question than for convertibles alone: Has anyone been able to find reproduction parts for the small brace that attaches to the front of the quarter panel braces, and extends into the space at the rear of the quarter window channel? They have been discussed before, and a template was shared through these forums.... for the coupe part. I have never seen any reference to the convertible's equivalent part which differs significantly. The pictures of the "Crate Camaro" project in Hot Rod magazine showed what appeared to be a reproduction part but I have not been able to find a dealer that can come up with one. I need both left and right pieces. What would be the hazard of assembling a convertible without them???

No, that is not it. The part I am refering to is welded to the leading face of the part you showed, and it extends into the space between the quarter panel and inner quarter structure, in the area of the quarter window channel. I think it is spot-welded to the quarter skin and may be involved in forming the window channel.

Oh, that little triangle shaped piece. I have not seen that repro-ed. I think it is there to keep that corner rigid. I dont think it would be hard to fab from spare sheetmetal.

I'd love to know if it is really included in the Dynacorn Camaro bodies, as is shown in one picture in Hot Rod Magazine.

Some of those more obscure parts aren't repro'd and may never be. I discussed that with Jim Barber last summer at Carlisle. Sigh.
