I have searched and found many posts on the glove box lock but no real answers to how to get the lock out. I have my keys if that is of any help. The glove box door is out of the car. I cannot figure out how to get the lock off so I can paint the door. It is amazing how much time you can spend on these minor things!

Just lock it...push in the latch and get a screw driver to push down on the tumbler keys and it will pop right out. My lock was really loose all I had to do was screw in the threaded holder and i was set.
(From a previous thread that I used myself)

Rack man nailed it. I removed the lock in about 5 minutes with your instructions on my 69. Thanks

I tried this and it won't work for me. Any additional details/ideas? I have a '69, and I do have the keys.
Update...30 minutes later...nevermind, I got it. I was trying to push the tumbers from through the keyhole rather than from the back side of the glove box. Got it now.
Thanks,
Dave
