A true factory-backed "race-car", along the lines of "Yenko", "Nicholson", etc. In this months issue (March 2006) of Hemmings "Muscle Machines" you can get a glimpse into history with the article on the 1968 "Berger" Chevrolet Z-28. It was one of the cars sold back then from "Berger". This particular dealership had the backing of G.M. at the time. They are still in business. The car was purchased by a friend/customer of mine who recently resold it and I believe it is now in a museum in Pa. That's my present understanding. I was involved first hand with the previous owner, Thomas K., who was involved in doing the Hemmings article. There's quite a few pictures of the car in the article. This is "must read" material. It takes you back to the original owner and up to a few months ago when Tom was approached by the good people from Hemmings. This is actually the second time it received "ink". The first time was about a year before. I spoke with Tom and am trying to get him to contact the original owner to see if we can get some idea of the times it ran back then and name of the track where it happened. Thanks, Gary in N.Y.
P.S. In the same issue you can get some insight into the new "F.A.S.T." class racing, which also contains the write-up about the early Vette that ran the 10.6 e.t. at Englishtown. We are involved in 2 units now for that type of racing.
