the quality is a bit poor, but since theres a few vega guys out there i figured i'd show it, plus its just good entertainment.....:D
its my buddys vega wagon, just a basic 355 with a about a 200 (i believe) horse shot , its a real basic combo but runs well into the 9's, and gets plenty wicked doing it occasionally.

very little damage, just a flat header, and he did't touch the wall.

YIKES!!! man that thing leaves hard. Time for some wheelie bars, huh? Glad to hear he didn't hurt it too bad. Is it a ladder bar or 4-link car?

yeah, its wicked. it started out as just a beater to go race, he's got a couple other nice cars, but it turned out to be so much fun he just went with it. he loves it, especially the easy maintenance DP90 paintjob ;) .
the thing is actually extremely basic, i think its kind of an old school ladder bar setup if i recall, definately nothing much.
i have not talked to him in a month or so, but after that little "mishap" he was planning on doing a few suspension upgrades. he was also talking about a new mill, thinking maybe a procharger, the thing will be nuts. the 355 was literally thrown together, just to go race, but it worked so well he went a season or two with it.. those things just seem to work.
i cant believe he just kept on it like he did, his brother drives like that, but he's slightly more conservative (i thought).
his brother has a 67 chevelle he's had for 25+ years, its absolutely notorious for wicked crossed up passes. back when we had......er... "unsanctioned" races, i saw him yank the tires on blacktop, and i mean 8"-10", amazing to see. but, it caught up to him about 5 years ago, he buried it in the wall at a track in canada, luck finally ran out i guess. good news is the car lives on, with a slightly newer front end.
glad you enjoyed the vid as much as i did.
