Covans sells them direct on the net here: http://www.covansclassic.com/parts/description.php?II=58&UID=2006022010402468.255.102.153

They state pretty clearly that you can buy an empty dash (you get nothing but the dash) or you can but it preloaded with autometer guages (you get a harness and directions).

They have 3 or 4 guage choices, it's pretty pricey.

i got mine directly from Covan. I received an email today telling my stock harness is suppose to attach with the gauges I purchased. The only bad thing is I don't have any wiring at all.

I bought mine from Covans direct with autometer gauges had everthing I need with the exception of the piece the you attach to the transmission to convert to an electronic signal. I was able to get it in a day from the local parts house. Everything hooked up great and the speedo was dead nuts on...

F*ck classic industries. Worst customer service, and they lie thorought their entire catalog.

I'm not telling you to stop the 3rd grade locker room talk, (but I would strongly consider it in light of the language and vendor bashing rules on this forum), but if you do not provide some basis for your complaint, the complaints serve absolutely no purpose other than for you to bash.

I've use Classic a number of times with no issues. Keep it clean and constructive, and your point will serve a purpose.

Where do they lie in their catalog. I just received mine yeserday in the mail.

I also received a 20% off offer in my email. What are the other vendors offering.

According to Classic's catalog the wiring harness is included with the purchase of the Auto Meter gauges, but not with the Sport Comp gauge cluster. How did Classic screw you over? I've been dealing with Classic Industries for years without any problems.

Harvard you kiss your mom with that mouth? State your complaint in a way that leads people to read your concerns, and not sit here and wonder if you had a few too many before posting!!!
Relax

Actually, when i bought mine, the catalog did say "Wiring harness included in all complete kits". (EDIT: I should mention that i bought mine LAST Xmas, in 2004. So my catalog was much older than your guys)

When i Purchased the kit, and didnt receive the wiring harness, they proceeded to tell me that it didnt matter what the catalog said, they could basically make up the rules anytime they felt like it.

So i was forced to spend ANOTHER $150 on a wiring harness (had i known this i would have purchased the more expensive kit with the better gauges, thats the ENTIRE reason for buying the sport comp kit, was the price)

Then, they took over a week to "get back to me" to see if the wiring harness could even be sent to me. When the wiring harness did come, it was only HALF of the wiring harness. Missing LED's, prongs were missing, etc. So, i called and complained... again. They again try to tell me that they can make up the rules as they see fit, and because it was techniquely sent to me, it didnt matter what was in the box and i should be greatful for having paid more than what their catalog promised. Mind you, this took over 45 days to finally get what was promised to me.

Finally, i gave up made my own wiring harness and vowed never to use Classic industries again. This was their 3rd strike against me.

This isnt the first time they've done crap like this to me, i've had my order completely screwed up... They claimed that i somehow ordered parts for an 65 impala.... I dont have an impala, nor do i have the catalog.. Everytime i call, i always confirm my catalog, car, year, and make... and the last one was a time i tried to order something off their website, i put a "note" below, Which yet again lead to me getting messed over by Classic Industries. 3 strikes and i'm done with that company.

I was not intoxicated when i made that post, i just have a hard time with Classic Industries and their customer service. The parts themselves are fine. They've done me wrong 3 times, and to me thats 2 too many. I will never buy from them again, I will only go to Rick's First Gen and Jim, (he still posts here right?) their rep. I'm a very reasonable person, i dont make a complaint unless i really feel like i was wronged, I've only made a complaint about a company one other time in my life and in this case i was wronged.

Believe what you like about my claims, its my truth and my experience that makes me steer clear of Classic Industries.

Maxharvard,
Why did you keep ordering from them? If I was not satisfied with a vendor I would not buy again, period thats it.

One mistake... i can understand, its a big company, no big deal... it happens. I'm not going to make a huge fuss over it.

2nd time was with almost around the same time as when i bought my dash piece. So the timing was bad.

Since then, i have not bought a thing from them. I use the catalogs as kindling for my fireplace, makes for some fun colors!! :D
