I'm getting ready to paint the interior on my Camaro soon. Can someone make some suggestions on what type of paint I should use? I do want it to last and not be finicky in spraying it. Just a side note, the interior will be sanded down to bare metal. Is it necessary to use a BC/CC for interior painting to make it last? I thought about using rattle cans, but how does it hold up to sun and weather? The color is turquoise.

Also, something else I noticed. The rear speaker shelf is painted in 2 colors. Are these colors the exterior and interior where they meet? Coz, they butt together right before where the shelf trim rises just up to the rear window opening. I also have a "TQ" on the right side of the seat back area structure. Probably meaning "turquoise".

Can't tell you about sun exposure yet, but I just painted the dash and rear window section with some rattle can paint and it came out very nice. The paint is a little fragile (scratches easily), but with rattle can paint it is easy to touch up scratches.

I used a dupli-color grey sandable primer first and then topcoated with another dupli-color rattle can. I put down numerous coats of each... lots of light coats and allowed a little dry time between.

There are pics on the "interior" section of my website in the "68 Camaro" page.
