got the front end assembled this weekend. I am about to put on brakes but I need to know what to torque the bolts that attach the spindle to the backing plate. I also need the torque on the nut/pin the brake shoes attach to at the top.

I'm not sure of the exact torque specs for the backing plates, but it's pretty darn tight. I would use a little loc-tite and get them as tight as you can by hand. The same goes for the anchor pin.

Thanks Dave. Sounds like a decent way to go to me. I just can't see spending $30 for a book with all the knowledge available on the web.
