What shocks would work best with the Hotchkis lowering springs (Item#: 1907F) on a 67'? Other posts I have read do not recommend KYBs. Is it only Bilsteins that work well??

I have KYB's with the 2" lowering springs and it works fine.

Not sure why it would matter which springs you have.

Because Hotchkis most likely has a contract with Bilstein as their primary vendor, and has used them for years. Bilstein is one of the premiere shock manufactures in the world and have been used by all of the major players in road-racing since … I can't remember, but it has been several decades.

I have KYB's Gas-A-Just shocks on my car and they are really stiff. KYB has another more mild shock. It's the GR-2's which are designed more for comfort and still handle well.

I use Koni's with my Hotchkis springs. Both Koni and Bilstein are expensive when compared to KYB. There is a reason though and that's performance and ride quality. IMO KYB's are much better suited for a stock spring rate and they are a bit stiff for my taste.
