The ONLY things stopping me front putting my front end back together is 3 bolts. HELP !!! I can't find them in any manual or website search. Local Camaro shop tells me I might have to go looking through a Bone Yard to find them ??? Can anyone give me the dimensions on the caliper backing plate bolt ( up top and single piston ) and the bolts that hold the steering arms to the disc brake spindles ??
Three bolts on each side is holding up the WHOLE show :-(

oh I know they do ...
and just ran down to the junk yard and picked up the steering arms that I needed for the disc brake spindles. Lucky for me the came with the bolts I need for that. Now .... the LAST thing I need is the calipter bracket bolt for the top. Anyone know the dimensions on that one so I can just go pick one up ??

They're a Grade 8, 5/8"unf x 7/8" with a 15/16"hex.
www.amkproducts.com part # B-10181. $14 buys you 2.

You may be able to find a Grade 8 capscrew locally that will work.

when i did my Nova front end, i got all new grade 8 bolts at a farm supply store- 4 lower control arm bolts, the 4 long steering arm bolts, and the big caliper top bolt- and i think i gave the guy a $10 bill and got change back from it.
they sold the bolts by the pound, and i only had a few pounds of bolts, nuts, and washers.
i got my new body mount bolts there, too.

DON'T buy Grade-8 bolts and such from ACE b/c they price by the piece!!!
I buy mine from a local Metal/Welding Supply Shop on the Loop!!
About 1/2 to 2/3's ACE's prices!

Be careful where you buy your bolts.. This may sound silly, but there are inferior imports that actually counterfeit the grade markings. This is nothing new, but it's far more wide-spread today.
95% of AMK's stuff are USA-made by current OEM suppliers.

They are 5/8 x 18, I got mine from Fastenal for under three bucks. They only had 1" long bolts. I used my bench grinder to get them the right length.
