Looking to replace the carpet in my 67, and want to hear about people experience with repo carpets. I did a little research and it seems the molded acc fits very well, but have heard about color fast problems (which may have been isolated to a few dye lots) and fading problems for ungaraged cars.
Thanks for the help.

I used Auto Custom Carpet on my 68. Fit and overall quality was good. I had a problem with dye transfer and ACC took care of it promptly. I tested for light fastness and it performed reasonably well. I think there is a great deal of variation from batch to batch.

I used ACC in my vert - medium blue. Faded quite a bit in 3 years but the top's down most of the time. Are some colors more fade resistant than others? Is there a UV blocker that can be sprayed on the carpet?

Seeing as how ACC makes the carpet for almost every Camaro parts vendor.....is there any other BETTER alternative ........without getting crazy and having some high dollar shop sew something up from scratch NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trimparts is making it and they tell me it will not fade like ACC. I have ACC black and it faded really bad, it's brown now and only 4 years old. Crapy carpet if ask me, but like most repro stuff people can't even do carpet right. Find NOS if you can..............like that will happen. You will just end up replacing it every few years like the re-poop companys want us too.
