Cowl tag looks fine to me. Nice car in my favorite color.

I'm not commenting on the tag, it looks good to me but the rivets look like they have been replaced. Do you know if the tag was ever removed during restoration for any reason?

Rivets are fine. Thats just the dumdum/sealer that was put there at the factory. Some you see are covered like that, some have the goop running out and down the tag, and some have hollowed centers.

All I know is it had a body off resto 2-4 years ago.
I was wondering about the rivets also, but have seen some photos w/ rivets that looked domed, or filled like mine.
Everything else matches good.Vin,hidden cowl VIN,Vin on block,Block casting date.No sign of another color paint.
I bought it from a dealer who had no other info on it.

Dave, if that is sealer in the rivets then I agree. In the photo it appeared that the rivets had round heads. It looked too perfect to be just sealer from the factory.

Hard to tell from the photo, but they are not uniform and round.One is kinda oblong, an the other has got a ridge on the bottom side.Looks like some kind of goop to me.
