Hello, I bought a power rack setup for my camaro and i was wondering if i would be able to use my original steering pump or if i would have to get a low pressure pump? I have heard that the rack setup recommends a low pressure pump. can anyone direct me towards one if this is the case? I don't want to have to buy different pump brackets, etc. Thanks, Jason

that's the problem, i haven't seen anywhere where they state any pressures. All I have seen is that they recommend a low pressure pump. I would just hate to blow out any seals that might be in the rack if i used the wrong pump.. I bought a used rack and did not recieve the instructions, etc. I believe the rack is very similar to the steeroids unit.

I was using a Steeroids rack kit on my 68 w/stock type pump, worked fine. When I added a Procharger, it required a remote reservor (newerstyle pump) it felt and drove the same.
I went back to manual stock steering (header fit) and installed the rack on a friends 68 with his stock pump, works fine. Good luck Bill.
