I've got an engine id code from the front pad as follows:

T 1025 CM

If i'm correct the T is the location of the mfg. plant, the 1025 is a mfg date of october 25th, what i'm not sure of is the engine code of CM

Any insight?

Casting date and number would help a whole lot more..CM was used on 6 cyl.'s and on 283's and maybe a few more.

the whole number from the pad is : 152418662 T 1025 CM

by the way - it is a small block v-8 in a 69 camaro, not an original engine.

Robert, check out this old post, their are a couple of links that will show you where to find the casting numbers on you block and heads. repost once you get them and we can narrow it down. good luck
