I will be removing my subframe this weekend. The interior is completely stripped and the readend will be left on for now. Do I have to support the rear of the rocker panel or will I be ok by only supporting the front of the rocker panel?
Can you just put a hydraulic jack under the transmission crossmember and roll it out? The motor and tranny are out. Or do I need to do the 2x4 cross?

Yes support it with jackstands under the rocker panel. Use some wood between the jackstand and rockerpanel to distribute the weight. You dont need jackstands at the rear if it is on wheels.
The jack under the trans mount will work fine, you will find the bare subframe is pretty easy to get out.
